Day 20 - the recovery
Ew. Too much wine. I got up early to see e leave for work, but man, i felt pretty crappy. I found remnants of my night-before cigar on the front deck. and then looked down to see the sun shining on the faucet that is not functioning at the moment. Note the yummy webs. Then, it was into the house and time for a nap before my hair appointment... :)
Day 19 - BBQ
We started out well, eating turkey burgers, corn, healty pasta salad, watermelon, etc. Then, there was cake... Cold. Stone. Creamery. Cookies. N. Cream.
We had a houseful and celebrated Reb and Nate's recent engagement, and Mike and Lauren's. Congratulations, guys! We love you! :) Can't wait to celebrate the weddings!!!

Day 16 - me, myself, and babycat
The day started out rainy, but now it is over 90 degrees. I was gonna go and swim today after school, but voted against it. maybe i will have a tan before summer's end. instead, i am catching up on my editing and my blog. e said that she wanted to have pictures to look at when she got off of work. so, i did my best. BBC was being a bad girl, sitting way on top of the bookcase. i dont know how she gets up that high. as long as she doesnt scratch it up, it should be ok. and here is a pic of me in the hall mirror. exciting, i know.
and this is what i look like lounging around the house. sorry about the ohio state shirt.

Day 15 - hot stuff
Day 14 - old dixie
Sunday mornings always mean that its time to go back home. after reading the paper, soaking up the morning sun (and coffee!), eating some fruity loops, and packing, it was time to head to VA. Along the way, we saw my FAVORITE motel in the universe, and we were also stopped for a long time in holiday traffic.
I believe there is an Alanis Morrisette song for this?:

Day 13 - rock on.
Fun times on this beautifully gorgeous Saturday. we hung out at the house for awhile with fam and children... then went to visit eve and der. then, some good ol B'VILLE D-Q. Holla. Next was dinner with fabulous Beth and Mel. Love em. :) and finally back to the house to settle in. Even Crabby was tired out ;)
Day 12 - independence day!
Happy 4th! We got up early to check out the parade... only to wake up to rain. yuck. but it was still fun, despite the 30 degree temperature difference between states. (i missed the 97 degree weather!!) the kids picked up all of the wet and gooey candy that was thrown from the trucks. (who started that tradition?? its kinda odd if you think about it...) Then, we went back to the house for some 40 year wedding anniversary fun! again, despite the rain. :)

This little man was hanging out in the Sheetz parking lot. adorable isn't he?? kinda looks like the one on my back... ;)

Day 9 - office space
Today was the day that Holli adopted all of our old office furniture. (Thanks, Holli!) She is officially moved into her new place downtown and it is gorgeous! So, when e and I returned from the mini-move of the desk and bookcase, I took photos of the office makeover. Here is a shot of the hidden computer desk (inside the armoire; LOVE IT!) and the monstrous bookshelf. It holds all of our goodies perfectly. :)
The fishtank has become a second desk. we covered it in canvas material, and it blends right into the room. if you didnt know, I dont think you would be able to tell that it was a 75 gallon fishtank :)

And what is this, you ask? A little play with slow shutter speed, light, and photoshop. fun. :)
