...then it's good enough for me.

Day 32 - home interiors

"what can I take a picture of today?"
"how about your favorite vase in the orange room?"
"done."

Day 31 - vampire cat

"I vant to suck your blood."

Day 30 - chicken salad

I created my own recipe for chicken salad because I could not find one that i liked online.

1. Poach chicken breasts in chicken broth with a little garlic powder and rosemary. about an hour.

2. Cut up chicken in teeny pieces and combine with hard boiled egg, green pepper, onion, sweet relish, a few scoops of miracle whip, black pepper, and lemon juice.

3. yum.

Day 29 - what the french, toast?

If you leave a plate of french toast unsupervised, this is what will happen to it:

hehe.

Day 28 - cat (and dog) ladies

When you love animals, they seem to kind of... take over.

Rage's wet footprint from his morning potty break:

Murder, Fat Boy, Babycat, and Phee having breakfast:

Day 27 - pink eye

This is what happens when you:

a) work with kids.
b) do not change your 2-week contacts for 4 months.
c) swim in a salty-chloriney pool with kids who pee in it.
d) all of the above.

ps- it healed over a weekend ;)

Day 26 - you've been warned.

It's finalllllllly FRIDAY! I am sitting here with BC on my lap and catching up with editing, arranging, naming, organizing, and taking photos... and updating blog, of course.

Day 25 - snail mail!

This creature was hanging out by the mailbox. I never knew 'snail mail' could be soooo.... literal.

It's not the best lighting and/or focusing job, but i am still a novice :)

Day 24 - mix it up

we decided to keep her.

;)

Day 23 - catching up

Kristen visited today to get her anchor tattoo from Kelley. It looks absolutely beautiful! we celebrated afterwards by going to chilis for happy hour with some friends. It was fun times as always. This is the only bit of playing that i did with my camera(s) today :) ps- sunset made for interesting lighting. and note new haircut!

Love ya, K!

Day 22 - on the outside

It's Monday. This little guy thought he would hang out on the glass door to the patio. He stayed for a little while...

Day 21 - .c.h.e.r.r.i.e.s.

Today was a day of relaxation for the morning, then we worked outside to clean up. It looks soooo nice!! :) Afterwards, we had a snack... some yummy cherries. Then, cleaned up around the house. Typical sunday.

Day 20 - the recovery

Ew. Too much wine. I got up early to see e leave for work, but man, i felt pretty crappy. I found remnants of my night-before cigar on the front deck. and then looked down to see the sun shining on the faucet that is not functioning at the moment. Note the yummy webs. Then, it was into the house and time for a nap before my hair appointment... :)

Day 19 - BBQ

We started out well, eating turkey burgers, corn, healty pasta salad, watermelon, etc. Then, there was cake... Cold. Stone. Creamery. Cookies. N. Cream.

We had a houseful and celebrated Reb and Nate's recent engagement, and Mike and Lauren's. Congratulations, guys! We love you! :) Can't wait to celebrate the weddings!!!

Day 18 - shopping spree

Thursday night, we had to load up on some groceries to be prepared for a mini-cookout at the house. This picture is a reminder that I will no longer be Box Tops Queen this coming school year...

Day 17 - fuzzy gray

It was Murder's turn for his photoshoot. The kits make for such easy photography. Although it seems that mur got a little bored with me...

Boring day today. summer school continues... boredom continues... etc etc.

Day 16 - me, myself, and babycat

The day started out rainy, but now it is over 90 degrees. I was gonna go and swim today after school, but voted against it. maybe i will have a tan before summer's end. instead, i am catching up on my editing and my blog. e said that she wanted to have pictures to look at when she got off of work. so, i did my best. BBC was being a bad girl, sitting way on top of the bookcase. i dont know how she gets up that high. as long as she doesnt scratch it up, it should be ok. and here is a pic of me in the hall mirror. exciting, i know.

and this is what i look like lounging around the house. sorry about the ohio state shirt.

Day 15 - hot stuff

Today was the first day of summer school. so pizza was definitely an easy answer to dinner. the pizza pizzazz gizmo is the best kitchen present! it works soooo well, and pizza in 15 minutes! cant beat it.

Day 14 - old dixie

Sunday mornings always mean that its time to go back home. after reading the paper, soaking up the morning sun (and coffee!), eating some fruity loops, and packing, it was time to head to VA. Along the way, we saw my FAVORITE motel in the universe, and we were also stopped for a long time in holiday traffic.

I believe there is an Alanis Morrisette song for this?:

Day 13 - rock on.

Fun times on this beautifully gorgeous Saturday. we hung out at the house for awhile with fam and children... then went to visit eve and der. then, some good ol B'VILLE D-Q. Holla. Next was dinner with fabulous Beth and Mel. Love em. :) and finally back to the house to settle in. Even Crabby was tired out ;)

Day 12 - independence day!

Happy 4th! We got up early to check out the parade... only to wake up to rain. yuck. but it was still fun, despite the 30 degree temperature difference between states. (i missed the 97 degree weather!!) the kids picked up all of the wet and gooey candy that was thrown from the trucks. (who started that tradition?? its kinda odd if you think about it...) Then, we went back to the house for some 40 year wedding anniversary fun! again, despite the rain. :)

Have no fear! I have not forgotten about, nor have I neglected to take pictures for the last few days. we went on a surprise road trip, and i was not able to upload any images. but, we are home now, and i have 545 photos to edit and sort through. so, here is one from July 3rd on the way to PA. This little man was hanging out in the Sheetz parking lot. adorable isn't he?? kinda looks like the one on my back... ;)

summer school has started... i will upload everything asap! :)

What a gorgeous day today was! The weather was absolutely beautiful. :) we got up early this morning and met anna v in Alum Springs Park in fredericksburg... a nice setting to take some pics of her and her preggo-ness :) we had a wonderful time hiking through the mini-trails. And it was definitely awesome practice for me and my picture taking. Here is one of anna, and one of us. you finally get a glimpse of me ;)

Day 9 - office space

Today was the day that Holli adopted all of our old office furniture. (Thanks, Holli!) She is officially moved into her new place downtown and it is gorgeous! So, when e and I returned from the mini-move of the desk and bookcase, I took photos of the office makeover. Here is a shot of the hidden computer desk (inside the armoire; LOVE IT!) and the monstrous bookshelf. It holds all of our goodies perfectly. :)

The fishtank has become a second desk. we covered it in canvas material, and it blends right into the room. if you didnt know, I dont think you would be able to tell that it was a 75 gallon fishtank :)

And what is this, you ask? A little play with slow shutter speed, light, and photoshop. fun. :)
